EcoEventi certification
Garda Trentino Xmas Trail obtains the Eco Eventi Trentino certification, issued by the Provincial Agency for Environmental Protection (APPA).
Garda Trentino Xmas Trail has started the process to obtain the Eco Eventi Trentino certification, issued by the Provincial Agency for Environmental Protection (APPA).
In line with our philosophy, this is a necessary and due step, serving both as a testament to and a reminder of the importance of keeping the protection of our environment as our primary goal. It is our home—the stage for our races and yours.
This step will require from all of us, and from each athlete, a few small adjustments that will soon become real opportunities.

INFO: Un Polenta Party interamente a filiera trentina
Therefore, on Saturday 13 December you will find:
-
Water strictly from the aqueduct at aid stations and at the polenta party;
-
Elimination of single-portion items;
-
Washable tableware to avoid waste (even compostable materials often require long degradation times for certain composting facilities, which are therefore forced to dispose of them as residual waste);
-
The smallest possible amount of printed communication;
-
A polenta party offered exclusively with products from the Trentino supply chain;
-
Ecological islands for disposing of any waste, ensuring maximum recycling;
-
No disposable cups at aid stations, including the final one. You will be able to use your own cup, which is mandatory according to the regulations.
Furthermore, to avoid food waste, we kindly ask you to:
-
Specify at meal pickup if you do not wish to receive certain ingredients;
-
Request a container to take away any food you have not eaten;
-
Absolutely avoid waste at any point, from bib pickup to departure from Torbole. But we are confident that this is already part of everyone’s daily habits.
Regarding the meal, thanks to the collaboration with the Polenter di Storo, the polenta party awaiting all participants of the Garda Trentino Xmas Trail 2025 has been designed with the highest sustainability in mind, using products exclusively from the Trentino supply chain, and also offering a 100% vegetarian option:
-
Farina Gialla di Storo for the polenta;
-
Latte Trento cheese from the Pinzolo Dairy;
-
Cold cuts from Botteri Carni, Strembo;
-
Eggs from the Fontana Bianca Poultry Farm, Storo;
-
Trentino apple strudel from the Franchini Bakery in Nogaredo.
At mealtime you will be able to choose not to receive certain ingredients and to request a container for taking away any uneaten food.
